Tonight the Olympic Games start and I couldn’t be more excited – finally the day is here!!!
But guess what… I’m not only watching it, I also participate! Well, not in London, but virtually. I signed up for the Virtual Games hosted by the creative and genius Jess over at Run with Jess!

No matter where you live, you can participate! This is a FREE event. There are 8 run events to complete in the Virtual Games: Track Star. Finish them wherever you’d like (track, road or treadmill) within the specified dates. No proof of times is necessary as this is a fun event. The only competition is against yourself… to run your best times possible!!
August 3 -12, 2012
** You do not have to run the full marathon in one shot. Break it up into segments and challenge yourself to complete a total of 26.2 miles during the 10-day Virtual Games (average of 2.62 miles each day). And yes, the challenge of this virtual event is to run or walk all eight events. Be A Champion!

This is a fun idea. I wonder how fast (slow) I am. lol Love the Olympics!!!
I’ll be an olympian with you! It’s going to be fun to run the variety of distances.
I think I am just going to try and walk 2.62 miles every day instead of entering a challenge.
I LOVED this idea and signed up a while back! I think it’ll make my current training fun.
also a fun way to get runners together. Virtually speaking!
Not sure why it won’t post my correct website address for my blog … so here it is!
