April started off great, I just came back from Kenya and was highly motivated to run, the weather was great, warm but not too hot. I ran a virtual 5k and almost beat my current 5k time! Awesome!
Well one week into April, I came down with a bronchitis and was not able to move at all for 5 days and no running for 2 weeks. I took it easy after 2 weeks, since I wanted to make sure my cough is gone before I ramp up my miles. The bad news: my running suffered in April. The good news: I’m completely fine now and can get started with marathon training soon!
So let’s see how I did this month:
- Mileage goal: 84 miles
FAIL! I only ran 42 miles, but I was happy to see an almost 5k PR during training! - Finish the crunch challenge! Goal is to do 400 crunches in April. This is part of my 100x challenge.
Success!! I did 400 crunches!! - Get RRCA certified. This is a big one! I actually registered for the running coach class on April 14/15 and hope to get my certification within a month.
Success! I attended the class and passed the test! I’m a certified running coach! I have started to work with 2 clients, both will be coached through online coaching and so far it works well. I hope my clients say the same!
Work – Life Balance Goals:
- Think positive and avoid negativity (minimize cursing and gossiping)
Fail! And it makes me feel bad. Why is it so much easier to be in a bad mood than being happy? I have to work on this. - look into a life coach
In Progress. I’m in contact with a life coach, let’s see how this turns out. I’ll keep you posted
How was your April?

Congrats again on your coaching certification! That was a huge milestone for April!
Life coach, that’s exciting, can’t wait to hear about it!
And huge congrats on becoming a running coach, that’s a major accomplishment
Congrats on the certification!! What do you charge for coaching?
So far I don’t charge. I’m looking for “guinea pigs” to gain some experience, plus I just enjoy doing it
Interested? Let me know
Your RCCA cert accomplishment is a bonus for me
Congrats again. I’m not sure how many miles I ran in April. Now I’m curious.
