There is no better way then starting a week off with a holiday! Love it!
Last night we got some snow, perfect timing! I love snow on non-working days, it looks so pretty and since I don’t have to drive anywhere I don’t mind it at all. When we woke up this morning the backyard was covered with an 1-2 inch snow layer and the roads were already clean. We couldn’t have asked for any better weather!

Since I didn’t had to work today I had another running date with my running buddy Kim. Did I tell you I love off days?
We met at 10am at the Battlefield and the snow already started to melt, but it was still pretty. The plan was to run 7 easy miles at around a 10 min/mile pace. The battlefield has some hills, so it will be a little hill training as well.
We started off with a 9:45 mile and then slowly increased our pace without even noticing. Mile 2 was around a 9:23 mile pace. We just kept talking and were running at a comfortable, conversational pace.
I was surprised how well my legs were feeling during the whole run. I did not notice anything, they felt like new, even though I ran a half marathon on Saturday. Nice!

Sounds like a great run!
Nice job! I'm jealous of your clear roads – I don't think I've seen roads without ice since November!
so jealous you had the day off!! looks like a beautiful run-and awesome negative splits too
That is a great pace! Well done. Looks like a beautiful day.
