Push-Ups: I’m scared!

The February challenge calls for 100 push-ups per WEEK and honestly I’m scared!!!

Almost daily I tell myself to include more strength training into my workouts but always skip it and I just focus on running. No cross training, no strength. I got better with stretching after each run, but still I need to get some muscles!!

I’m so glad for the 100x challenge and I hope it will help me to stay on track with strength and cross training.

I’m getting ready for February and I just downloaded a push up app on my phone so I can track my push ups. This should be an interesting month!! My goal is to do 15 push ups a day and ideally by the end of the month I can do 15 real push ups!!

  1. Girl!!! I am so bad about strength-training too. I am scared, yet very excited too. Ahhh… did I already say "THANK YOU" for having this 2012 challenge? So, 100 pushups per week divide by 7 days = 14 a day. 14 daily push-ups / 3 times a day = about 5. WE CAN DO THIS!

  2. What push up application are you using?! I should download it on my phone. I could use that!! I'm doing the Spartan next month and when you can't complete an obstacle you do burpees/push ups. I'm hoping to be a little trained by then in the push up department or I am going to struggle…hopefully this challenge helps.Awesome where you met your boyfriend. You're one of the few people I know that can relate with the whole internet thing. I love the internet. :)

  3. I'm really excited (and scared!) of next month's challenge! My arms are gonna hurt! All I need to do is run 2 miles tomorrow to complete the challenge for January!
